RESORT - multicenter prospective microbiological study of antibiotic RESistance of bacterial nosocomial pathogens in the Departments of Reanimation and Intensive Care Unit in Russia
This research work has being carried out since September 2002 and at present 34 centers from 21 Russian cities participate in the project:

- Stavropol
- Tomsk
- Tyumen
- Ufa
- Chelyabinsk
- Yaroslavl
Each center is planning to collect 100 consecutive strains of gram-negative aerobic bacteria, 50 strains S.aureus and 20 strains Enterococcus spp. isolated in patients with clinically and laboratory proved infections, progressed not earlier than in 48 hrs since the moment of hospitalization in ICU. Each isolated strain has its own Clinical Report Form (CRF).
In central laboratory IAC every microorganism will be repeatedly identified by the species level and determination of MIC will be performed by agar dilution method.
